PMG introduces Alli Semantic Layer to standardize metrics across data sources

Every team and Alli experience works from the same metric definitions, wherever the data comes from.

Alli Semantic Layer showing shared KPI definitions
Alli Semantic Layer: marketing business logic defined once and shared across Alli.

PMG today introduced Alli Semantic Layer, part of Alli, PMG's operating system for business transformation. It standardizes how data connects across sources with consistent definitions and aligned metrics, creating one trusted language across all Alli experiences.

The same metric used to be named and calculated differently in every source. Now it's defined once and means the same thing everywhere.

What teams get

  • Consistent definitions. Each metric is defined once.
  • Aligned metrics. Numbers from different sources line up.
  • One language across Alli. Every Alli experience uses the same definitions.

PMG built Alli for its own teams, and more than 1,000 people run on it every day. The Semantic Layer gives all of them the same definitions to work from.
